Inclusive Learning Leader


About the Role

This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring best practice for students with specific learning needs in the Junior School.

The Inclusive Learning Leader will work collaboratively with staff to identify students requiring support through adjustments, modified programs or Personalised Plans.

They will manage the development of these plans in collaboration with all stakeholders, including staff, parents and external providers.

  • Work collaboratively with staff to identify students requiring support.
  • Manage the development of adjustments, modified programs and PPs.
  • Manage and support individual students or groups of students identified.
  • Support teaching staff in planning adjustment and modifications to curriculum, assessment and pedagogy.

The successful applicant will hold a degree in Special Education or a Primary school teaching degree with experience in delivering integrated learning support.

They will have a deep understanding of Disability Discrimination Act, Education Standards and NCCD.

A strong desire to personalise learning to ensure all young people have the opportunity to achieve growth and experience success is essential.

Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills are required to guide, mentor and develop colleague's practice.

This role involves working closely with the Deputy Principals (Learning and Teaching & Wellbeing) and being part of the Enrichment team.
