Fire Protection BIM Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Fire Protection BIM Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our collaborative Brisbane team, you will play a critical role in shaping essential building systems across different sectors.

  • Your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with Fire Protection engineers to produce detailed and coordinated BIM models and drawings across all project phases.
  • You will model fire protection systems such as sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels, pumps, and detection systems using Revit and other BIM tools.
  • You will support the delivery of compliant, constructible, and high-quality documentation in line with Australian codes and standards.
  • You will contribute to digital coordination and clash detection processes, working closely with other services disciplines.
  • You will maintain and apply BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), and ensure all models meet internal and client-specific standards.
  • You will participate in design coordination meetings and support continuous improvement in BIM delivery across the team.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2-3+ years of experience in BIM modelling for building services, preferably with a focus on Fire Protection systems.
  • Technical skills: Solid Revit proficiency is essential; experience with Navisworks, AutoCAD, and BIM360 is a bonus.
  • Industry knowledge: Understanding of the National Construction Code (NCC), AS 2419, AS 2118, and other fire system design standards.
  • Detail-oriented mindset: A commitment to model accuracy, documentation quality, and design integrity.
  • Team player: Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work seamlessly with engineers, designers, and external consultants.
