Job Title:

Utility Systems Trainee

Job Summary: The County Water and Wastewater department is seeking a Utility Systems Trainee to assist with the repair, installation, and maintenance of water, wastewater, and reclaimed water utility system lines and lift stations. This is an entry-level position that requires the candidate to possess a valid Florida driver's license and be physically capable of wearing and utilizing all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the repair, installation, and maintenance of water, wastewater, and reclaimed water utility system lines and lift stations.
  • Work under the supervision of experienced technicians and learn new skills and techniques.
  • Perform physical tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling 50 lbs or more.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months of experience in plumbing, construction, or mechanical repair and/or maintenance of industrial mechanical equipment.
  • Must possess a valid Florida driver's license.
  • Must be physically capable of properly wearing and utilizing all required PPE.
