Care and Support Worker for Children
Description:We are seeking a dedicated Care and Support Worker to join our team in Ipswich. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing personalized care and support.
The successful applicant will work within a residential setting, ensuring a safe and nurturing home-like environment and promoting positive family relationships.
You will be working with young people who have complex needs and challenging behaviors, requiring a trauma-informed approach that supports their well-being.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct care to residents, focusing on their physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, their families, and other stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
- Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care) or equivalent qualification.
- Valid Australian full driver's license for the state you reside in.
- Ability to obtain a Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance.
- First Aid and CPR qualifications.
- Regular rostered hours for permanent staff.
- Mentoring by an experienced management team.
