About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Manager to lead our NSW operations team, driving key business objectives while delivering safe, timely, and cost-effective production and delivery of materials to meet customer expectations.

The role involves maximising returns to the business by implementing Transport and Logistics strategies/plans and project initiatives for the NSW Recycling Business, ensuring consistency and alignment with the overall business plan.

You will develop, coach, and champion a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of transport and logistics functions across all NSW Recycling sites.

  • Execute the transport planning and scheduling process
  • Manage the Transport Team
  • Capacity and Sales and Operational planning
  • Carrier and fleet performance management
  • Transport systems implementation, monitoring, and governance to ensure both safety and customer compliance
  • Proactively identify and implement transport initiatives/solutions to ensure timely, reliable, cost-effective, and safe transport of products to and from InfraBuild Recycling customers/suppliers
  • Ensure continuous improvement of Waste Edge system throughout the NSW business

We require a safety-focused leader with strong influencing and communication skills and a passion for delivering high-quality results on time and within budget.

The requirements for success in this role include:

  • 5+ years of logistics management experience ideally in a transport planning environment
  • Experience in building and leading teams in a complex, fast-paced environment
  • Experience in both fleet and carrier management
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of allocating various vehicle types, capacity, specifications, load configuration, and load restraint
  • Advanced stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of SAP, Weighbridge, and Waste Edge system would be an advantage
  • Proven capability in problem-solving and process improvement with a passion for outcomes
