The Local Council seeks an experienced Asset Management and Geographic Information Systems professional to provide support to the team, working in the development and implementation of systems, data, plans, strategies and policies to sustain and improve the standard of the Council's physical asset base.

**Key Responsibilities**:

  • Support the ongoing development and maintenance of the Council's Asset Management Systems (AMS) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
  • Capture, digitise and collate the Council's asset data into the AMS and GIS for the benefit of the organisation and external clients.
  • Undertake and project manage the capture of assets and asset condition data in the field.
  • Improve the integrity of information held within the AMS and GIS by participating in quality assurance programs and documenting metadata.

**Requirements and Qualifications**:

  • Degree in Spatial Science, Surveying, Engineering or similar with substantial experience in this field.
  • Relevant experience in Asset Management and GIS, or a lesser formal qualification and substantial relevant experience.
  • Skilled in using desktop Geographic Information Systems for asset data capture, and spatial/asset data management, analysis, mapping, and reporting.

**Benefits**:
