Provisional Clinical Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our multidisciplinary team as a Provisional Psychologist. As a member of this team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality evidence-based clinical care to adults aged 18 years and over who experience mental health concerns and their families and carers.
Your primary responsibilities will include conducting intake and assessments, including risk assessments, care treatment planning, care coordination with internal & external services, and providing brief psychological intervention.
- This position requires you to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client.
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess one of the following qualifications: Full AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist or Mental Health Nurse, General or Provisional AHPRA registration as a Psychologist OR AASW registration/eligibility as a Social Worker (would suit graduate Social Worker wanting to build skills in the mental health field).
You will also require knowledge and understanding of the theory underpinning evidence-based interventions & clinical practice, as well as demonstrated excellence in the practical application of such, in the areas of mental health and alcohol and drug use.
- A strong ability to engage with people, advocate on their behalf, and establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, clients, families & friends and stakeholders is essential for this role.
