Job Title: Workforce Coordinator

This role plays a vital part in ensuring our train services operate safely and on schedule.

About the Position:
  • Coordinate and administer rosters for all passenger locomotive train crews, ensuring efficient allocation of qualified drivers across various depots.
  • Contribute to providing equitable train services that meet the needs of our customers.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective rostering strategies to ensure optimal work allocation, adhering to relevant awards, agreements, and business rules.
  • Maintain accurate roster data, guaranteeing compliance with rail safety standards and principles.
  • Ensure adequate roster coverage for planned and unplanned disruptions, guaranteeing all services have driver availability.
  • Allocate operational rosters according to FAID requirements and ensure they cater for training, leave, occupations, special events, and public holidays.
  • Manage the IT system related to rostering, including data entry of train crew times.
