Job Title: Logistics Officer

Company Overview: Our client is a leading packaging manufacturer with a strong reputation for innovative solutions. They are seeking a skilled Logistics Officer to join their team.

Job Summary: As a Logistics Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely supply of information to the warehouse and customers. Your day-to-day tasks will include arranging the despatch of goods, processing export orders, and liaising with the warehouse team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Arrange the despatch of goods with completed invoices and associated documentation
• Process export orders, freight, and complete necessary paperwork
• Liaise with the warehouse team to ensure timely despatch of finished goods to customers
• Assist with cycle-counts and stock takes, investigating any major variances
• Maintain records of despatched goods, including hired pallets
• Support the customer service team and provide backup as needed

Requirements:

• Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Intermediate computer skills, particularly in warehouse management systems
• Good knowledge of warehouse procedures and logistics processes
• Understanding of Quality & Food Safety Systems and procedures
