Job Opportunity: Logistics Officer

About the Company: Our client is a leading packaging manufacturer with a strong reputation for innovative solutions. With a focus on quality and customer satisfaction, they are seeking a skilled Logistics Officer to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely supply of information to the warehouse and customers.
  • Arrange the despatch of goods with completed invoices and associated documentation.
  • Process export orders, freight, and complete necessary paperwork.
  • Liaise with the warehouse team to ensure timely despatch of finished goods to customers.
  • Assist with cycle-counts and stock takes, investigating any major variances.
  • Maintain records of despatched goods, including hired pallets.
  • Support the customer service team and provide backup as needed.

Requirements:

  • Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Intermediate computer skills, particularly in warehouse management systems.
  • Good knowledge of warehouse procedures and logistics processes.
  • Understanding of Quality & Food Safety Systems and procedures.
