
Administrative Governance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced administrative professional to fill a Governance & Administration position.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide support to senior executives in upholding good governance practices and principles.
- Support executives with the administration of frameworks, including clarity of roles and responsibilities across all areas of the organisation.
- Apply experience to ensure appropriate governance is applied to all business decisions.
- Ensure organisational policies are up-to-date and workplace practices are in alignment with Corporate Governance Frameworks to ensure compliance with legislative and statutory requirements.
The role will include utilising systems to support corporate induction, document and information management, and organisational administration.
The position requires strong organisational skills, exceptional time management, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks.
Responsibilities:- Attend meetings as minute taker and ensure all minutes are accurately recorded and managed.
- Ensure all actions from meetings are managed and delivered with various areas of the business.
- Ensure all governance requirements for the Board and Committee meetings are met.
- Liaise with board directors as necessary.
- Coordinate and attend meetings, taking and distributing minutes and action items within set timelines.
- Follow up on action items from meetings and ensure commitments are delivered upon.
- Respond to queries from the business to ensure Executive function is supported.
- Connect and communicate with areas of the business as an extension of Executive members to ensure operations remain aligned with Executive direction.
You'll bring a mix of professionalism, initiative and attention to detail to this critical role.
- Possess qualifications or equivalent experience in governance, business administration, or corporate support.
- Demonstrate experience supporting senior executives, boards, or committees.
- Show strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in preparing formal documents and taking minutes.
- Demonstrate proven ability to work with discretion, integrity, and sound judgement.
- Show a proactive approach to problem solving and flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Exhibit high level competence with Microsoft Office and experience using document and information management systems.
