About This Role

This role offers a unique combination of leadership, teaching, and support responsibilities. As Special Education Assistant Principal, you will work collaboratively with teachers, families, and other stakeholders to develop and implement student-centered plans that promote academic achievement and social growth.

You will be responsible for leading evidence-based practices to deliver differentiated curriculum, developing and implementing personalized learning plans, and communicating effectively with families and the wider community.

This position requires a strong commitment to inclusive education, a proven ability to initiate improvement in teaching, learning, and classroom practice, and a well-developed knowledge of curriculum, assessment, and student welfare.

  • Lead the development and implementation of high-quality, differentiated curriculum for students with autism, intellectual disabilities, and complex co-morbidities.
  • Develop and implement student personalised learning plans, behaviour support plans, and transition plans that positively impact on student engagement and learning.
  • Communicate and partner with stakeholders, including families and the broader community, to build relationships and engage students, staff, and parents.
