About the Position

This is an opportunity to step into a pivotal finance leadership role within a growing contracting business. Our company provides electrical and plumbing services to various sectors, including industrial, commercial, and mining. We're looking for an experienced Financial Controller who can lead our finance function and drive strategy, performance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function to deliver accurate and timely month-end close, financial reporting, and performance analysis.

• Oversee Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Cash Flow Forecasting, and Debtor Management.

• Manage the annual budget and rolling forecast process aligned to business strategy.

• Review and challenge project financial summaries, cost-to-complete forecasts, and reconciliations.

• Maintain oversight of payroll approvals, controls, and reporting accuracy.

• Drive system and process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce risk.

• Ensure compliance with all tax, audit, and statutory obligations.

• Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering capability and collaboration across the business.

About You

Senior finance leadership experience (ideally in construction, services, or related industries).

Strong technical understanding of accounting standards, compliance, and reporting.

Proven track record in cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Experience overseeing payroll, audit coordination, and tax compliance.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

Preferably confident in simPRO and Xero, with advanced MS Suite capability.
