We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Control Systems Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary

This is a senior-level position that requires expertise in control system and instrumentation design and integration in the Mining and Metals industry. The ideal candidate will have functional safety certification, RPEQ certification, and expertise in OT (Operational Technology) Cyber Security.

The successful applicant will lead the design, development, modification, and evaluation of mechanical components and processes. They will also communicate complex technical issues and recommend solutions to upper management.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan and conduct independent work on control systems requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria on a medium-sized project or assignment.
  2. Lead the design, development, modification, and evaluation of mechanical components and processes utilizing relevant engineering department procedures (EDPs), design standards, and guides.
  3. Communicate complex technical issues and recommend solutions to upper management.
  4. Develop conceptual designs for control systems engineering projects or projects having specialized or unique requirements.
  5. Support the preparation of estimates, staffing needs, and schedules.
  6. Prepare or oversee the preparation of discipline estimates and work plans in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget.
  7. Interpret new or special regulations, codes, standards, criteria, and performance data.
  8. Coordinate with client representatives to obtain their approval of control systems aspects of the work.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Expertise in control system and instrumentation design and integration in the Mining and Metals industry.
