A Global Risk Strategist

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to assume the role of Global Risk Strategist. This is an opportunity to join our team and contribute to shaping our risk management strategy.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of risk frameworks, including appetite, architecture, governance, and systems. They will be able to analyze workflows, documentation, and stakeholder interactions to identify strengths and gaps.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of engaging diverse stakeholders across functions, geographies, and seniority levels, including executive leadership teams and directors.

This is a second-line advisory role that requires strategic thinking, collaboration, and a passion for influencing outcomes.

The position offers flexibility in location and the chance to make a real impact on our global operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Background: Geotechnical, Geometallurgy, Closure Planning, Tailings, or Mine Engineering. Underground experience preferred.

Risk Management Experience: Proven experience in risk management, with a global perspective on mining and processing industries. Risk qualification advantageous.

Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical skills and judgment in complex or novel situations.

Educational Background: Degree in a relevant field such as Mining, Engineering, Finance, Law, or Business.
