About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to join our finance team as a Financial Accountant. This is a full-time permanent role based in Adelaide CBD. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the efficient running of the Finance team. Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, your role will span a variety of accounting functions, providing exposure to both day-to-day financial operations and more complex accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately prepare and process invoices, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Work closely with program teams to gather necessary documentation and information for billing.
  • Assist with income receipting and bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with accounts payable processes as required.
  • Perform reconciliations of accounts.
  • Provide assistance during month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives, streamlining processes and procedures as needed.

About You

You are an organised and detail-oriented individual with a strong foundation in accounting principles. You have experience working in a similar role and are confident in handling invoice processing, accounts payable, and general financial administration. You thrive in a team environment, have excellent communication skills, and are proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvement. You are comfortable working with various financial systems and have a strong sense of responsibility.
