We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at WHSmith Australia. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to meet the high standards of our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook menu items to order, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Manage inventory and stock levels to minimize waste and optimize efficiency.
- Develop and implement new recipes and menu items to enhance the customer experience.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- At least 2 years' experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a fast-paced café or restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation and presentation techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues and management.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends.
- Food Safety Supervisor certification (desirable).
