Job Description:

As a Senior Operations Manager, you will oversee the management and coordination of emergency response operations across a designated district. This involves leading a team of senior staff and volunteers to ensure effective response to large-scale incidents and disasters.

You will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and purchasing of district operational assets, including fleet and equipment. Your goal is to ensure that these assets are fit-for-purpose and meet operational requirements.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will also provide leadership and guidance to Area Operations teams, volunteers, and brigades in mitigating the impact of bushfires. You will promote community awareness and education initiatives on fire prevention and ensure appropriate oversight of operational decision-making at a district level.

Your role will involve representing RFSQ at a district level during complex major incidents, focusing on the management of political, economic, social, technical, legal, and environmental impacts on the local community.
