Job Title: Project Contract Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Project Contract Specialist to manage the entire lifecycle of contracts, ensuring legal and commercial compliance, mitigating risks, and fostering positive relationships between the client, subcontractor, and supplier.

  • Review, negotiate, and amend contracts to ensure alignment with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor project progress and financial performance, identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Oversee project start-up, procurement, delivery, and close-out processes, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Prepare and submit monthly progress claims to clients, providing detailed reports on project status.
  • Manage subcontractors from onboarding to claim assessments, maintaining effective communication and relationship management.
  • Monitor commissioning activities, including documentation, to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure adherence to procedures, policies, and contractual obligations, driving commercial outcomes and project success.
  • Maintain relevant registers that track and substantiate the project's commercial position, providing insights for informed decision-making.
About You:
  • Minimum 6 years of demonstrated experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of successful contract management and project delivery.
  • Knowledge of contract law and regulatory compliance, with a working knowledge of project administration and project control principles.
  • Analytical skills and high attention to detail, with strong negotiation, conflict, and influencing skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills, and confident facilitation abilities.
  • Qualifications in Contract Management or a related discipline, with a police clearance due to projects being on a Defence site.
  • Ability to meet country of origin and security clearance requirements, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
