Urgent Care Nursing Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate nursing professional to join our urgent care service in Toowoomba. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, person-centered care to patients presenting with a wide range of medical conditions.
About the Role:
- You will be responsible for triaging all patients who present to the urgent care service, conducting comprehensive and accurate nursing assessments, and acting promptly for any patients requiring emergency escalation or deterioration.
- Perform procedural work such as suturing and plastering, and demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in the dynamic urgent care environment.
- Deliver high-quality care in collaboration with patients, families, carers, and medical practitioners, and ensure patients achieve desired clinical outcomes.
- Provide essential health education to patients and complete all documentation accurately and promptly.
About You:
- AHPRA registered nurse with previous experience in triage within an emergency department, remote nursing, or ICU is preferred.
- Must be available evenings and weekends, and willing to provide a Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and a high level of critical thinking are essential.
- Ability to assess and recognise health deterioration and escalate appropriately, and a passion for people with a personable approach.
