Inventory Management Expert Wanted for Warehouse Leadership Opportunity

A leading distribution company is seeking a skilled and experienced Inventory Controller Lead to oversee inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and process compliance across the site.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage receiving and put-away processes, providing detailed reporting, analysis, and insights to management.
  • Maintain non-pickable locations and ensure availability of stock for Centre ordering.
  • Investigate discrepancies, inbound variances, and ensure timely reporting to the Inventory Planning team.
  • Process rework inventory and ensure it's ready for distribution.
  • Develop and communicate daily operational plans during pre-start meetings.
  • Support urgent or critical needs across departments as required.
  • Supervise warehouse activities to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Perform loading/unloading tasks as needed.
  • Coach and mentor the second-in-charge to support succession planning and team coverage.
  • Maintain inventory integrity by initiating timely adjustments or approval requests.
  • Respond to inquiries professionally within 24 hours.
  • Allocate inventory-related tasks to warehouse staff to maintain operational flow.
  • Liaise with Centres regarding any dispatch errors or stock issues.
  • Requirements:
  • Full working rights in Australia – unrestricted
  • Immediate availability with full-time Monday to Friday commitment
  • Forklift license – advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude
  • Own transport – preferred but not required
