Assistant Store Manager
About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team as a key member of our leadership team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a retail management role, preferably in a liquor or supermarket environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of sales assistants and store supervisors to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.
- Manage inventory, stock levels and merchandise displays to maximize sales and minimize waste.
- Develop and implement visual merchandising plans to create an engaging shopping environment.
- Monitor and control store expenses, including labor costs, supplies and utilities.
- Provide coaching, training and development opportunities to sales assistants and store supervisors to improve their skills and knowledge.
- Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably in a liquor or supermarket environment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Certificate IV in Retail Management or equivalent qualification.
