Procurement Legal Specialist Job

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a procurement legal specialist providing expert legal support to the procurement team.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Assess and address legal risks associated with procurement activities.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage vendor relationships including contract enforcement and dispute resolution.
  • Act as a trusted advisor offering guidance on complex legal issues.
  • Handle disputes and claims related to procurement working towards amicable resolutions.
  • Communicate effectively with partners to ensure agreement on key matters.
  • Work independently with a reasonable level of autonomy from the Head of Vendor Contracting.
  • Ensure deals align with procurement policies and escalate exceptions for approval when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Experience drafting, negotiating, and advising on commercial contracts.
  • Admitted to practice as a legal practitioner in Australia.
  • 6+ years post-admission experience.
  • In-depth understanding of procurement regulations, contract law, and compliance standards.
