Inventory Optimization Expert

This role involves providing in-depth analysis to drive continuous improvement in supply chain performance.

The successful candidate will develop and implement statistical models to optimize supply channels, select suppliers, and reduce costs associated with strategic procurement and inventory decisions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inventory analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders through regular reviews.
  • Maintain and update forecasts to ensure accuracy.
  • Evaluate supplier pricing and negotiate optimal agreements.
  • Oversee the management of slow-moving and poor-performing inventory.
  • Analyze and support process improvement projects focusing on total cost of ownership, cost-to-serve, labor efficiencies, and warehouse relocations.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance of inventory master data records.
  • Lead new product development projects.
  • Identify products requiring procurement from international suppliers.
Requirements:
  • Experience in logistics, inventory management, purchasing, or a related field, coupled with strong administrative skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in computer applications (Excel, database management, MS Word) with expertise in data interpretation.
  • Knowledge of SAP is beneficial but not essential.
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented individual with a commitment to safety excellence.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
