The Role
We are seeking highly skilled and experienced MC Drivers to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Route Navigation: Plan and navigate routes to ensure efficient and safe transportation of goods, taking into account varying terrains and weather conditions.
- Cargo Management: Monitor cargo loads, perform pre-trip inspections, and manage schedules to meet delivery deadlines while ensuring freight security and integrity.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed on relevant laws, including weight limits, route restrictions, and compliance with local regulations to uphold operational integrity.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and clean the cab and cargo area, ensuring that proper safety equipment is available and in good condition.
- Teamwork: Share driving responsibilities, communicate effectively about road conditions and fatigue levels, and provide support during rest breaks to ensure consistent performance.
- Documentation: Accurately complete and maintain all required paperwork, including delivery receipts, logbooks, and compliance reports, to ensure accountability and traceability.
- Communication: Leverage GPS and other communication tools to stay updated on traffic conditions, route changes, and emergencies that may arise.
About You
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience driving triple road trains (3 B Trailers & 2 Dollies 53.5 mtrs) is essential.
- Licenses and Certifications: A current MC Driver's licence and a valid multi-combination Drivers Licence allowing operation of heavy vehicles with multiple trailers are required.
- Skills and Qualifications: Proven ability to work effectively in a team, familiarity with transporting temperature-sensitive goods, and knowledge of fatigue management regulations are highly desirable.
