The Role:

We are seeking highly skilled 2UP MC drivers to join our team, transporting freight safely and efficiently across the central states. As a 2UP MC driver with Centurion, you will have the opportunity to work with modern, well-maintained trucks equipped with the latest technology, and enjoy competitive rates and allowances.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Navigate long-distance routes, ensuring efficient and safe operation of the road trains through varying terrains and weather conditions.
  2. Ensure all freight is transported safely and on time, monitoring cargo loads, performing pre-trip inspections, and managing schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
  3. Stay informed on relevant laws, including weight limits, route restrictions, and compliance with local regulations to uphold operational integrity.
  4. Share driving responsibilities with your partner, communicate effectively about road conditions and fatigue levels, and provide support during rest breaks to ensure consistent performance.
  5. Perform routine checks on the truck's mechanical and safety features, including brakes, lights, and tyres, reporting any issues promptly.
  6. Accurately complete and maintain all required paperwork, including delivery receipts, logbooks, and compliance reports, to ensure accountability and traceability.

About You:

  • Previous 2UP Driver Team Experience: Proven ability to work effectively in a team, ensuring smooth communication and coordination while on the road.
  • Current MC Drivers Licence: Must have a valid multi-combination Drivers Licence.
  • Refrigeration and General Freight experience: Familiarity with transporting temperature-sensitive goods as well as general freight, ensuring compliance with all handling procedures.
  • Accident-Free: A history of accident-free driving, showcasing responsibility and dedication to safety protocols on the road.
  • Understanding of applicable laws and regulations, including load limitations and route planning for optimal efficiency.
  • Knowledge of fatigue management regulations to ensure driver well-being, including proper rest periods and monitoring driving hours.
  • Previous Triple Road Train experience is essential for navigating and manoeuvring large combinations safely across various terrains.
  • Must Apply as A Team: Candidates must apply as a pair, emphasising the importance of teamwork for successful and efficient transportation.
