About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled professional to join our expanding estimating team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to grow within the construction industry while being supported by a team of experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tender Preparation: Prepare accurate and detailed tenders, estimates, and full scopes of work.
  • Cost Analysis: Recommend alternative products and pricing options to meet client needs.
  • Project Planning: Provide precise cost estimates and planning advice based on client specifications.
  • Software Proficiency: Use On-Center or BuildSoft Take Off software (training provided).
  • Client Communication: Liaise daily with clients and suppliers to ensure clear communication and up-to-date information.
  • Quote Progress: Keep clients informed on project quote progress.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with senior estimators and receive full on-the-job training.

Requirements:

  • Estimating Experience: Estimating experience in a similar role is advantageous, but not essential.
  • Construction Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction materials and techniques preferred.
  • Cost Planning Skills: Sound cost planning skills and current knowledge of market rates.
  • Microsoft Excel: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Australian Working Rights: Full working rights in Australia required.
