Exciting Opportunity in Insurance Litigation

We are seeking an experienced Lawyer or Associate to join our team in Sydney, where you will work on litigation matters in Public Liability and Professional Indemnity including Medical Negligence.

The ideal candidate will have between 1-5 years' experience in professional indemnity and/or medical negligence. You will have a proven track record of successfully handling professional indemnity cases and achieving favourable outcomes for clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage complex litigation files, meeting deadlines and maintaining accurate records;
  • Review evidence and provide expert advice on indemnity, liability and quantum;
  • Communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders in writing and verbally;
  • Identify key issues, brief experts and analyze opinions;
  • Prepare court documents and statements of evidence;
  • Draft correspondence and collaborate with other practitioners;
  • Participate in online processes and represent the firm in Court;
  • Brief and liaise with counsel; and
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations, case law and emerging trends.
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and client-service focus;
  • Ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and concisely;
  • Experience in managing a high case load and attention to detail;
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency in relevant software;
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
