About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate occupational therapist to join our multidisciplinary mental health team at the Sunshine Mental Health & Wellbeing Centre.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a brand-new facility, providing acute mental health care to consumers and supporting their carers.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop their skills in facilitating groups, screening and assessing consumers' functional capacity, individual interventions, sensory modulation, and NDIS navigation.

As a member of our team, you will be part of a dynamic and supportive environment, working closely with clinicians from nursing, social work, psychology, and medicine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the multidisciplinary team, promoting occupational therapy practice domains to other clinicians
  • Work with consumers to provide screening and discipline-specific assessments and interventions
  • Hold high professional standards, be accountable for your decisions, and committed to further developing your career
  • Possess strong assessment, clinical reasoning, problem-solving, and prioritization skills, with a willingness to learn
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, being organized while remaining flexible to adapt to changing consumer needs
