Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver care services in a professional, person-centered, and age-appropriate manner, respecting personal choice and autonomy.
  • Work collaboratively with consumers, their families, and other Anglicare employees to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide support and assistance with daily living activities, promoting wellness, enablement, and timely palliative care when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for consumers, adhering to safe work practices and manual handling techniques.
  • Communicate effectively with consumers, families, and colleagues, demonstrating empathy, respect, and cultural sensitivity.
Requirements
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate IV in Ageing Support.
  • Previous experience in a similar support role, with a proven ability to deliver person-centered care.
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team.
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate and a valid driver's license with a registered, comprehensively insured, and reliable motor vehicle.
