About the Role

This role involves implementing support services aimed at maximising the living, social and recreational skills of people with a disability. Community inclusion, independence, decision making, and personal choice should be promoted through these supports, with a focus on individual needs.

  • Personal Care: Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Manual handling: Aid clients with mobility challenges through proper manual handling techniques and assisting with exercises.
  • Community Engagement: Support clients in participating in social, recreational, and community activities.
  • Domestic Duties: Assist with light housekeeping duties, meal preparation, and maintaining a safe and clean-living environment.
  • Behavioural Management: Handle clients with high behaviours, employing appropriate strategies to ensure their safety and well-being.
Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you will need:

  • Australian Federal Police Clearance.
  • Current CPR/First Aid Certificate.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check.
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance required).
  • Smartphone with internet access.
