We are currently seeking experienced and passionate Disability Support Workers for one of our participant residing in a supported disability accommodation. In this SDA, we support a 62 years old person with disability.

As a Disability Support Worker, you will work collaboratively with this participant by providing personalized one-to-one or two-to-one support. Your goal will be to help the participant engage and enhance his daily living skills, strengthen relationships with families and carers, enhance social connections and community networks, and grow confidence and independence to live safely in the community.

**What you'll be doing**
- Providing personalised care and assistance to individuals with physical, intellectual, or developmental disabilities
- Helping clients with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Facilitating social and recreational activities to promote client well-being and community integration
- Advocating for client needs and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive support
- Maintaining accurate records and reporting on client progress and any concerns
- Adhering to industry regulations, company policies, and best practices in disability support

**What we're looking for**
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a disability support or similar caregiving role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine concern and desire to make a positive difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities
- Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills to respond effectively to diverse client needs
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
- A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
- Familiar with PEG feeding and medication administration

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Supplementary Pay:

- Overtime pay
- Performance bonus

**Education**:

- Certificate I - IV (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Working with people with disabilities: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid and CPR Certification (required)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (required)
