This is a challenging and rewarding role that involves leading the risk function within a project controls team on a significant infrastructure program.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with precinct teams to collate and validate quantitative risk assessment inputs, conducting risk assessments to inform contingency levels and monitoring exposure, and producing risk dashboards and reports to communicate outcomes.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential threats and optimize opportunities.
- Lead a team of risk professionals and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure effective risk management practices are in place.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify, assess, and prioritize risks, and develop mitigation plans.
- Communicate complex risk information to non-technical stakeholders through clear and concise reporting.
- Monitor and report on key risk indicators to ensure timely identification and response to emerging risks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills, are essential for success in this role.
Requirements- Australian citizenship and ability to obtain (or currently hold) an Australian Security Clearance.
- At least 4 years of experience in risk management, with demonstrated capability at a senior level.
- Proficiency in risk tools such as Active Risk Manager, Cura, @Risk, Acumen Fuse, Safran, Primavera Risk Analysis.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- A collaborative and proactive individual who can work effectively in a geographically dispersed team.
- Strong relationships builder with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage competing demands.
