Job Overview

The EightSix Network is seeking a skilled Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our general merchandise retail store in Yellowknife. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the store's success through effective leadership, staff management, and operational excellence.

Main Responsibilities

As a Store Manager, you will:

  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of dedicated retail professionals to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Monitor inventory levels, track merchandise turnover, and manage stock ordering to maintain a well-stocked store.
  • Lead by example in providing excellent customer service, resolving inquiries, and addressing customer complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Set sales targets and goals, implement effective sales strategies, and monitor financial performance to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost control.
  • Oversee the presentation and layout of the store to optimize the shopping experience for customers.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and local regulations.
  • Generate regular reports on store performance, sales trends, and other key metrics to inform decision-making.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous retail management experience, preferably as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and basic financial analysis.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
