At Diabetes SA, our core vision is to empower individuals with diabetes and their families. We strive to educate, advocate, support, and fund research for better outcomes.

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our Health & Service Delivery team as a Accredited Practising Dietitian.

  • The successful candidate will have experience in clinical or community settings, providing education, information, and support in group and one-to-one situations.
  • Liaising with general practitioners and health professionals will be essential, as well as participation in youth activities.
  • The role requires the development and delivery of health programs focusing on diabetes self-management.
Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • An appropriate degree or postgraduate qualification in nutrition and dietetics.
  • Holds accredited practicing dietitian qualifications through a relevant professional association.
  • At least 3-5 years' experience working in dietetics at a clinical or community level.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering health education in one-to-one or group settings.
  • A commitment to continuing professional education.
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating diabetes programs and services.
  • A sound knowledge of diabetes management principles, including dietary and exercise guidance.
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and client-focused education.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • High-level interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplined team.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo a national police clearance and pre-employment medical.
