About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to lead our Paper Production division at Visy Pulp & Paper. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our paper manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of machine operators to achieve and improve production targets on a daily basis, providing technical support and troubleshooting complex production problems.
  • Maintain a high standard of quality by regularly checking process conditions against check sheets and monitoring final product parameters.
  • Uphold all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring that personnel adhere to PPE requirements and conducting regular safety inspections.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the production team, assessing competency and delegating responsibilities to ensure that employees perform to the required standard.
  • Adhere to all environmental procedures and policies, implementing actions to minimise environmental impact and actively participating in discussions and initiatives aimed at promoting environmental stewardship.
  • Share information and new ideas with shift operators, attend meetings to discuss repair work and improvements, and collaborate with the machine supervisor and other team members to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Qualification in Production Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience within a paper manufacturing environment.
  • Leadership excellence, technical proficiency, quality focus, safety commitment, environmental consciousness, team collaboration, and results-driven mindset.
