Job Title: Weekend Museum Supervisor

This is an exciting opportunity to oversee weekend tourism activities at a mint. The role involves providing onsite supervision of teams, assisting with day-to-day tasks, and responding to visitor enquiries.

About the Role:

The Royal Australian Mint features recently upgraded Museum, Café, and Retail spaces offering an exceptional visitor experience.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that visitors and staff receive equal care and attention across the week and weekend.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing onsite supervision of Museum Host and Mint Shop teams.
  • Assisting with daily activities including delivering tours.
  • Responding to visitor enquiries and managing escalated issues.
  • Working with weekday leadership to ensure smooth operations.
  • Providing peer-based training and mentoring to team members.
  • Addressing time-sensitive correspondence.
  • Ensuring a safe environment.
  • Undertaking Emergency Warden and First Aid Officer duties.

Requirements:
  • Holds or has the ability to obtain a current ACT Working with Vulnerable People Card.
  • Security clearance at Baseline level.
