About the Job

We're seeking a Senior Frontend PHY IC Design Engineer to join our team and play a key role in building next-generation Wi-Fi chips that will enable the Internet of Things (IoT).

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced engineer to utilize their expertise in digital signal processing (DSP) with emphasis on hardware implementation.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of IEEE 802.11 PHY layer, specifically 802.11ah, as well as experience developing multiple DSP blocks in complex SoCs.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop an IEEE 802.11ah PHY using Scala (Chisel), System Verilog, and C.
  • Perform functional verification of the 802.11ah PHY in RTL simulators, SDF-annotated gate level simulators, and AMS simulators using SystemVerilog, Verilog-A, Matlab, C, and Python.
  • Collaborate with the Systems team to achieve optimal performance.
  • Work closely with the Analog & RF team to define and improve the radio interface.
  • Partner with the Firmware team to develop embedded PHY firmware.
  • Assist with the bring-up of silicon in the lab and debug PHY performance.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical / Electronics / Communication Engineering or Computer Science.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a PHY IC Design Engineer.
  • Deep understanding of digital signal processing (DSP) with emphasis on hardware implementation.
  • Proven experience developing multiple DSP blocks in complex SoCs.
  • Familiarity with the IEEE 802.11 PHY layer and specifically 802.11ah.
  • Strong knowledge of digital design fundamentals, including low power and multi-clock-domain design.
  • Hands-on experience with the Cadence or Synopsys simulation suite.
  • Proficiency in Linux development environment staples such as make, shell scripts, and Python.
