The Department of Corrective Services is seeking a highly skilled Employment Coordinator to play a pivotal role in the implementation of our Prisoner Employment Program.

As an integral part of our team, you will be responsible for managing, developing, and implementing employment programs for offenders in the prison and in the community. You will develop strategies and methods to expand employment opportunities for offenders in the region, case manage individual offenders and employers, and provide information and advisory services to prison management, staff, and offenders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the Prisoner Employment Program
  • Career Counselling and Identifying barriers to employment
  • Identifying training needs of prisoners
  • Developing links with Community groups, Employer Groups, and Government Organisations
  • Sourcing employers and RTOs
