Job Overview

About this role:

The Family Support Services program coordinates a service system response to high and complex needs, and trauma.

This service ensures quality of services, efficiency, and prevents unnecessary statutory intervention. It prioritizes sector partnership and collaboration, and services are based on evidence and focused on outcomes.

This is a Full-Time opportunity within our NT Services Program, based in Darwin. The position reports to the Manager WA/NT.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families.

Preferred Experience:

  • Significant work experience in a relevant field supporting an understanding of key child development issues relating to parents and their families who have complex needs.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading and improving child and parent-focused programs.
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop collaborative relationships across professional and organizational boundaries, as well as knowledge of relevant Community Service Organizations, local and State Government, and the ability to network with these services.
