Job Description

This exciting opportunity is for a Commercial Lawyer to join our team in the Sydney CBD office. As part of this role, you will work closely with our General Counsel and Director of Legal Services to develop your skills and knowledge in all aspects of the in-house legal function.

  • You will advise and negotiate commercial disputes as well as assist with large-scale commercial litigation.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts as required by internal stakeholders.
  • Advise on ad-hoc employment, consumer, and commercial law issues.
  • Assist the company secretary with drafting directors' resolutions and other secretarial documents.
  • Conduct legal research on various employment law and commercial law issues.
  • Assist senior lawyers with legal projects.
  • Conduct case management tasks, including reporting and administration.
  • Liaise with external counsel and partners.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Admitted as a legal practitioner in NSW or another Australian state.
  • 1-3 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Able to prioritize and operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong business acumen, enabling you to make commercial decisions.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with a focus on achieving outcomes.
