Animal Care Training Role

We are seeking an experienced Trainer Assessor to join our team and deliver high-quality training programs in the Animal Care sector.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging training sessions using a range of educational resources and learning materials.

  • They will create a stimulating learning environment that caters to the varying needs of students, including those with diverse abilities and learning styles.

  • Organising and prioritising their workload while maintaining high standards is crucial for this role.

  • The Trainer Assessor will ensure all resources are up-to-date and accessible to students, and provide academic counselling and support as needed.

  • Maintaining housekeeping and OHS standards is also an important aspect of this position.

  • Demonstrating commitment to providing a child-safe learning environment, equal opportunity, and occupational health and safety is essential.

  • The successful candidate will accurately complete administration tasks, including distribution and marking of student assessments.

  • Coordinating work-placement visits and providing student consultation are also key responsibilities of this role.

Requirements:

  • A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) is required for this position.

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar VET trainer/assessor role is preferred.

  • Proven ability to deliver quality VET training programs is essential.

  • Knowledge of validation and moderation processes is also necessary.

  • Australian Skills Quality Authority regulations knowledge is required.
