Qualified Educator

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Educator to join our team at Capital Region Community Services Ltd. As an Educator, you will work closely with the Director and team to provide high-quality education and care for children and families.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop strong relationships with children and families, contributing to play-based holistic learning programs that meet individual needs.
• Participate in transparent and caring partnerships with families to work towards shared goals for children.
• Be a positive role model, active contributor, and engaged collaborative leader amongst the team.

Requirements

• Ability to engage children in activities responsive to their interests and abilities.
• Ability to develop sustained relationships with children.
• Demonstrated awareness of the rights of the child.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, children, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
• Demonstrated awareness of mandatory reporting obligations.
• Ability to follow directions and undertake tasks at all levels.

Desirable Qualifications

• Certificate III, Diploma, or higher qualifications in Early Childhood Education and Care.
• First aid training as prescribed in the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010.
• Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management training.
• Food Safety, Handling, and Hygiene training.
• Demonstrated understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law, Regulations, and Standards.
• Demonstrated understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework.
