Stratco is seeking an experienced folding operator to join its team.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a passionate individual who wants to be part of transforming our manufacturing processes. Due to the installation of our new, state-of-the-art automated duplex folder at our headquarters, we require an experienced folding operator to produce various metal flashings as we transition from labor-intensive to fully automated folding operations.

About You
  • A certificate in engineering or a related field is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience using sheet metal manufacturing equipment, particularly roll form machines and metal bending machinery (folders, brake press etc), is required.
  • Conducting basic preventative and breakdown maintenance is a key responsibility.
  • Comfortable using technology for the purpose of machinery programming.
  • Effective problem solvers who can develop solutions that meet customers' needs are highly valued.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
  • A commitment to producing quality products is expected.
Responsibilities
  • Automated duplex folder training will be provided to utilize automated functions.
  • Interpreting product drawings to program the folding machine according to specifications is crucial.
  • Manual handling of finished flashings post-folding is a key task.
  • Conducting basic preventative and breakdown maintenance in liaison with the maintenance team is a responsibility.
  • Collaborating with the automation and innovations team to achieve maximum efficiency and output of the automated machine is expected.
