Airport Trades Assistant Role Overview

Are you a reliable and skilled tradesperson looking for a new challenge? Aerodrome Management Services is seeking an experienced Airport Trades Assistant to support our critical airside works across Australia.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to undertake regular travel. They will enjoy practical, hands-on work in an outdoor and remote setting and be comfortable working as part of a close-knit and mobile team.

About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Airport Trades Assistant. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the safe and effective delivery of line marking and aerodrome maintenance projects.

  • Supporting the setup and execution of line marking tasks on airport runways, taxiways, and aprons
  • Undertaking general airside maintenance including minor runway repairs, concreting, painting, and various other technical duties
  • Assisting with the preparation, loading, and transport of tools, vehicles, and materials
  • Operating basic plant and equipment under supervision
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and condition of tools, vehicles, and equipment

The Airport Trades Assistant will work closely with our experienced team to ensure that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Requirements
  • Demonstrated reliability and enthusiasm for practical work
  • Physically fit and capable of manual labor in varied environmental conditions
  • Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight trips to remote locations
  • White Card (Construction Induction Training) or willingness to obtain
  • Previous experience in line marking, civil construction, or similar trade-related fields
  • An interest in aviation or infrastructure works
  • Manual driver's license (MR class license desirable)
