Tax Expert Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax Expert Leader to take responsibility for all tax deliverables, statutory tax obligations, and arrangements across the Australian region.

  • Prepare and lodge tax returns in accordance with relevant tax laws, regulations, and precedents.
  • Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimise business outcomes.
  • Provide all relevant tax inputs for financial statements.
  • Analyse financial data and provide actionable recommendations based on findings.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory tax obligations across the Australian region.
  • Provide clear, practical tax advice to internal stakeholders across the business.

This role is responsible for:

Tax Return Preparation and Lodgement

The successful candidate will prepare and lodge tax returns in accordance with relevant tax laws, regulations, and precedents.

Effective Tax Strategies

The candidate will develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimise business outcomes.

Tax Inputs for Financial Statements

The successful candidate will provide all relevant tax inputs for financial statements.

Financial Analysis and Recommendations

The candidate will analyse financial data and provide actionable recommendations based on findings.

Statutory Tax Obligations

The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all statutory tax obligations across the Australian region.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA/CA qualification (or working towards) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in tax accounting, preferably with public accounting or corporate tax.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
