This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a reputable mid-tier firm as a Senior Associate in the employment law group. The team provides diverse range of employment law matters, including litigation and advisory services to clients.
About the RoleWe are seeking a qualified and experienced lawyer with solid employment law background to work closely with the principals on a variety of employment law matters. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years PQE and strong skills in:
- Providing day-to-day employment law guidance to HR and in-house legal teams
- Advising on and representing clients in employment-related claims, such as unfair dismissal, adverse action, discrimination, sexual harassment, breach of contract, and underpayment of wages
- Managing WHS incidents and advising on related policies
- Reviewing and drafting contracts, policies, and settlement deeds
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing expert employment law advice to clients
- Representing clients in employment-related claims and negotiations
- Developing and implementing employment law strategies
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of employment law developments and best practices
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in law or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in employment law
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
