Anton Murray Consulting is seeking a motivated individual to take on the role of Payroll Officer. This position is ideal for a junior Payroll Officer or an Assistant Accountant eager to advance their career in payroll management.
The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training and will be accountable for the complete monthly payroll process for approximately 600 employees across various entities, including any necessary off-cycle payroll runs.
System Knowledge: Familiarity with iChris is advantageous but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and update the payroll database efficiently.
- Ensure that employee records are accurate and current.
- Oversee leave management processes using WorkDay and iChris.
- Calculate termination payments accurately.
- Prepare end-of-month reports and facilitate payments to third-party vendors.
- Ensure timely submission and payment of superannuation, withholding tax, and payroll tax to relevant authorities.
- Handle the group payroll email inbox, ensuring all inquiries are addressed within 48 hours.
- Set up timesheets for employees as required.
- Assist with year-end reconciliations.
- Collaborate with Payroll Controllers, HR Business Partners, and Business Units to ensure all payroll-related matters are managed promptly and accurately.
Required Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll, assistant accounting, or junior HR roles.
- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Proactive and flexible, with a professional approach to stakeholder engagement.
- A positive attitude and a collaborative mindset.
