Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Kennedy Reid. As a key member of our financial services team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day processing of our payroll and administrative duties surrounding this.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Execute and distribute payroll for 850 staff members on a fortnightly cycle and Directors on a quarterly cycle using Chris21 software.
• Prepare overseas payrolls through an overseas payroll agency.
• Maintain the payroll inbox and ensure prompt response to inquiries.
• Reconcile payroll for month end and year end, including payroll tax returns.
• Meet reporting and payment deadlines, including month end and end of financial year.
• Onboard new starters into the payroll system.
• Administer Superannuation funds and clearing house fund details for all staff and directors, ensuring compliance with the Superannuation Act.
• Handle Award reporting.
• Develop and deliver periodic payroll data reports to the Board and management.
• Liaise with government bodies for ad-hoc payments.
• Support People & Culture Business Partners and services team by providing knowledge of Fair Work Acts and Employment legislation related to pay and benefits.
• Assist the Head of Performance and Reward during annual salary reviews, promotions, and performance cycles.
• Contribute to People & Culture ad-hoc projects.

Requirements

• Experience with Chris21 or iChris is highly desirable.
• A proactive, detail-oriented, and administrative-focused outlook.
• Past experience within the financial services space is desirable.
• Previous end-to-end payroll experience, preferably processing pay for over 500 employees.
