We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a drilling and blasting engineer. This role is responsible for supporting the development of executable schedules, ensuring that risks are proactively identified, mitigated and controlled.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serving as the conduit between planning, operations and other key stakeholders, providing technical engineering guidance and support that enables both the schedule and execution thereof.
  • Understanding the economic drivers that underpin revenue and cost within the operation to ensure these are incorporated into decision making.
  • Providing guidance on explosive forecasting associated with the mine plan and validating the accuracy of such forecasts.
  • Identifying and implementing cultural and process improvement initiatives within the team/operation.

About You:

  • We have a strong focus on finding individuals with the right values, leadership capability, and communication skills.
  • Your interpersonal skills will foster strong working relationships across Engineering, Training and Operational teams.
  • You will be required to consolidate and analyse information, provide critical thinking and a solution-focused attitude.
  • Required: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related disciplines and/or significant mine site experience.
  • Experience in drill & blast, mine design or scheduling is desirable.
